June 19, Thursday   - School Closed: Juneteenth Day

 July 4, Friday - School Closed: Independence Day 

August 14, Thursday   -  Summer Camp Party: at 11:00 am 

August 15, Friday  - Dayspring Summer Camp 2025 Ends: at Noon 

Aug. 18-22, Mon.-Fri.  - Building and Grounds preparation 

Aug. 25-27, Mon.-Wed.  - Staff in-service, Classroom set up 

August 27, Wednesday - Open House: Student Visits  11:00 am-Noon 

August 28, Thursday  - Full Day students begin/phase-in schedule for new full day children: 8/28-29 

September 2, Tuesday - Half Day/School Day students begin regular Schedule/ phase-in schedule for new half and school-day children: 9/2-3

September 16th – Parent Education Series: Part I

Informational session for parents, covering the following topics: Overview of Child Development, Montessori Philosophy, and Demonstration of Materials I.

September 23rd – Parent Education Series: Part II

Second informational session for parents, covering the following topics: Child Development, Montessori Philosophy, and Demonstration of Materials II.

September 28th  – Adjustment Conferences

Conferences will be held for parents and teachers of new students to discuss their adjustment to the new environment.

October 14th – School Pictures

        Capture your child’s early school years with their friends and teachers.

October 30th – Vision & Hearing Screening

Illinois DCFS requires all children ages 3+ to receive a vision & hearing screening.

January 25th – Mid-Year Parent/Teacher Conferences

Learn about your child’s progress throughout the first 5 months of school, and discuss development goals for the rest of the school year.

February 20th – Parents’ Night

Do you wonder what your child does during work time? Come to Parents’ Night, and your child will show you what they are currently learning.

April 30th – Spring Sing

Enjoy an afternoon of delightful entertainment as all the students take part in a musical performance, to be followed by light snacks and beverages (supplied by parents).

May 14th – Dayspring Olympic Competition

Let the games begin!  Cheer on our student athletes as they undertake amazing challenges where energy and enthusiasm win every time.  There will be awards for all.

May 17th – Year-End Parent/Teacher Conferences

Discuss your child’s progress throughout the year, as well as goals for next year. (Ages 5+)

May 20th – Family Potluck Picnic

Reflect on a wonderfully fun and educational year as the students prepare for a spectacular summer.  All family, friends, and relatives are invited!
